Anticipology: How organisations navigate when traditional plans stop working
In a time of rapid change, growing complexity and major societal challenges, the ability to think about the future in new ways has never been more important. Many organisations rely on plans to guide their work, but in reality the future is rarely predictable and plans do not always work.
Future Lab Part 2 introduces Anticipology, a newly developed future theory that explores how organisations can navigate when traditional plans stop working. The theory focuses on how leaders and organisations can rethink problems, move through uncertainty and discover new paths for development. It also explores how organisations can identify opportunities in uncertain situations and build the mindset needed to move forward in a rapidly changing world.
This perspective is especially relevant today, when many organisations are searching for new ways to remain innovative and attractive in a changing market.

The seminar series invites participants to take part in open conversations about the future, not as something we simply wait for, but as something we can actively help shape together. During the sessions we explore futures thinking, innovation processes and co creation as ways to understand uncertainty and discover new opportunities.
Researchers, practitioners, decision makers and curious participants are invited to meet, exchange perspectives and gain insights that can support future oriented work in their own organisations.
Lunch is served 12:00–13:00 for participants who attend the full session.
📍 The sessions take place at The Pot and are held in English.
The event is free of charge, but registration is required and spaces are limited.
Future Lab is organised within the AI Lab Blekinge and AI Factory projects.
You are welcome to join the conversation, contribute your perspective and help shape the future.
